Crowborough Birthing Centre offer a NHS midwife-led service. The Centre has six beds, is open 24 hours a day and is run by a dedicated team of experienced midwives.
Personal care in a ‘home from home’ environment.
The NHS unit is run by a dedicated team of highly experienced midwives and maternity support workers.
Crowborough Birthing Centre can provide a full range of services to monitor your pregnancy including antenatal care, blood screening, parent education classes, labour and birth care, postnatal care plus 24 hour phone line for support after you go home.
In labour they try to provide your with one to one care as much as we can. They are experienced in helping you to use the water for both pain relief and for the birth of your baby. Water has been proven to be a very safe and gentle environment for giving birth in, but if you choose you can use it for labour only.
Their home from home environment consists of 6 postnatal beds. Bright and welcoming they give you the chance to relax after the birth. Midwives and MSWs offer full-time, individual and professional support throughout your stay helping you decide how long you want to stay following the birth.
